My picks for Cancun Shopping....

La Isla Shopping Mall is hands down the coolest shopping experience in Cancun.  In fact, this mall is so much of an experience that even some of the hard core "I hate shopping" type of guys may just enjoy themselves.  La Isla is all outdoor and its huge. There are rivers running through the mall, there are statues that mysteriously come to life, there is an interactive aquarium, swim with the dolphins feature, a movie theater, and dozens of outstanding restaurants.  Oh, did I mention you can go shopping here too?  Located about 4 miles North of Yalmakan, about 10 minutes by cab, 15 by bus.

Kukulcan Plaza features Harley rentals and world famous Ruth's Chris Steak house to name a few.  It's located about 3 miles from Oleo.

The Forum Shopping Mall is right in the middle of all the night club action in Cancun, located at "The Point" at kilometer 9 in the hotel zone.

I wouldn't call this next one a recommendation as much as I would information for those who are looking for local "shops".  Believe it or not, in Cancun there are not many local shops unless you venture outside the Cancun Hotel Zone into El Centro.  There are several little shops in Coral Negro where you can get all sorts of colorful things, shirts, chess boards, miscellaneous items, along with a wide assortment of costume jewelry.
